Recently, I stumbled upon the new fragrance from CHANEL, a flanker of the iconic Gabrielle. From the moment I saw the ad, I had a feeling this scent was crafted with a younger audience in mind. It feels like a complete departure from the original Gabrielle, which intrigued me even more.

Perfume and Mental Health
Recently, I’ve been asked whether using perfume has benefits for mental health. As someone who has struggled with chronic mental health issues (which have recently become more stable), I’d like to share how something as seemingly simple as perfume can have an impact on our emotional well-being.
A little backstory: while living in England, I was diagnosed with several mental health disorders, including PTSD, severe anxiety, major depression, and three others. I share this to give context to my perspective, as I am someone who has experienced mental health disorders firsthand.

Am I ugly?
Since I was a kid, I always had insecurities bubbling inside me, like a poison that settled in my brain. Maybe it was because I was bullied as a child, or because of the comments from older people about my body. Growing up, we were close with the older gen, who somehow felt they had the right to point out how “ugly” we were or how imperfect we looked. It became so normalized that they did it all the time.

Why You Should Stop Buying Cheap Clothes
Did you know that clothing waste has become so massive that it’s causing a global environmental crisis? Fast fashion is a huge contributor, and it's nearly impossible to stop them from producing more. Although I don’t fully support fast fashion, I want to share a story that might offer some insight into why some people still buy branded clothes or go for preloved and thrifted items from a popular fashion brand.

My Favourite Penhaligon's Perfume *Discontinued*
Ever heard of Penhaligon’s? It’s a British perfume house that has been crafting exquisite fragrances since 1870. The brand, which has received a Royal Warrant from The Duke of Edinburgh, boasts a rich heritage that is truly impressive.
Skincare During Middle and High School
Since I started teaching at a high school, I often get questions about skincare. Unlike today, when I was in middle school, I could only access skincare information through TV ads or magazines. At that time, I asked my mom if I could subscribe to Kawanku and Gadis magazines. Initially, I saved up to buy the magazines, but eventually, because I loved reading them so much, my mom kindly subscribed to them for me, all for the sake of her first daughter's growth, haha.
I was only 11 years old, still naive, but my skin was flawless until I began ruining it myself, and it could never go back to the way it was.

I Made Mbti Perfume
Have you ever wondered what your personality would smell like? Just last week, I found myself exploring a fascinating experience at My Color ID. As someone who's always been intrigued by MBTI personality types, the chance to turn my traits into a personalized scent was something I couldn’t resist. I walked into the studio, filled with curiosity and excitement, wondering how my INFJ personality could possibly be captured in a bottle. What I didn’t expect was for this to become more than just a fun experiment—it turned into a journey of self-discovery, blending the art of perfumery with the essence of who I am."

Why Are You Always Unlucky?
Have you ever thought, "Why is my life always so unlucky?" Maybe you’ve noticed that when you make friends, people secretly dislike you and talk behind your back. When you’re in a relationship, your partner leaves you because of your behavior. When you got married, your husband often mistreats you, and you find yourselves fighting, even in front of your children. Every time you try something new, obstacles and failures seem to follow. Why does it feel like that?

Why You Should Try Perfume Samples
As a perfume lover, I’ve found that having samples on hand is essential before committing to a full bottle. When it comes to buying perfume, you can’t just rely on a quick sniff in the store or a few moments with a tester strip. Scents evolve over time, and it’s important to live with them, experience how they interact with your skin, and see how they unfold throughout the day. That’s why I always take my time with a fragrance before making a decision.
Why My Mom's Nose Prefers Luxury Perfume
My mom might seem like a simple, ordinary woman to the outside world, but she has an extraordinary gift for appreciating perfume. Growing up, I was always surrounded by her delightful scent, a testament to her long-standing love for fragrances. Despite her wealth now, she remains grounded and minimalistic, both in lifestyle and in her approach to luxury. She’s never been one to flaunt her success or indulge in extravagant showiness, preferring instead to keep her style understated and elegant.
Beware of Red Flags in Perfume Stores
As I delve deeper into the world of fragrance, I’ve been receiving questions about certain Indonesian websites offering perfume at suspiciously low prices. My advice? Steer clear of deals that seem too good to be true. I’m not willing to risk my money on something that raises red flags, and neither should you. Remember, perfume interacts with your skin and body chemistry, and the last thing you want is to spritz potentially harmful or counterfeit products on yourself.

YSL Libre Le Parfum Review
I know, I know, YSL Libre is all the hype, especially the Intense version. So, there I was at the Sephora Grand Indonesia last week, casually wandering around when I stumbled upon the YSL Libre booth. Curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to test out the original EDP version. Just a little spritz on my skin to see what all the fuss was about.
The opening hit me with a fresh lavender-mandarin punch. It's vibrant, and some might find it leans a bit masculine, but personally, I love it. It’s the kind of scent that works perfectly for everyday wear. Plus, in our lovely humid Indonesian weather, it holds up impressively all day long. The fresh, slightly edgy vibe makes it a great choice for any occasion, whether you're heading to work or just out and about.

Why Low-Quality Perfume Ruins Class
Ever heard the saying “fake it till you make it”? Sometimes, people try to show off as more successful or sophisticated than they really are, especially when stepping into new circles or just trying to boost their own confidence. They flaunt their lavish lifestyles on social media, but here’s a little secret: there’s one crucial detail you shouldn’t overlook if you truly want to exude class—your perfume.
