Good Girl Carolina Herrera Review

It feels like Good Girl by Carolina Herrera has found its way into almost everyone’s collection—especially across TikTok. The iconic stiletto bottle certainly catches the eye; I’ll admit, it looks interesting and commands attention on any vanity. I’ve seen countless people calling it their signature scent, their all-time favourite. Naturally, I got curious. My expectations were high, though I couldn’t shake a bit of skepticism—after all, when something goes viral, it’s not always as magical as it seems.

There’s no doubt this perfume turns heads. Not just because of the bottle, but also because of the bold and seductive scent. Wherever I go, I always see someone wearing it, talking about it, or recommending it.

I still remember the first time I stepped into a perfume store, and the sales assistant immediately suggested Good Girl. She said, “This is a scent everyone loves.” Just from the look of it, I already felt it wasn’t really my style—but she was very convincing, so I gave it a try.

I’ve tested the scent on three separate occasions, each time wearing it for a few hours, hoping something would shift and I’d finally fall for it. But… it just didn’t work for me.

Good Girl

Top: Almond, Coffee, Bergamot, Lemon

Middle: Tuberose, Jasmine Sambac, Orange Blossom, Orris, Bulgarian Rose

Base: Tonka Bean, Cacao, Vanilla, Praline, Sandalwood, Musk, Amber, Cashmere Wood, Cinnamon, Patchouli, Cedar

The opening was surprisingly strong—sharp enough that it actually made me cough. On my skin, the scent came off quite harsh, and within minutes, both my husband and I started to feel a bit dizzy. It’s not that the fragrance smells bad, but I think the way the notes develop just doesn’t sit well with my skin chemistry. The sweetness, especially, felt way too intense—it made me want to wash it off right away.

Still, I waited for the dry down, hoping it would mellow into something more wearable. But unfortunately, it didn’t change much.

I can totally understand why Good Girl is so popular. It’s bold, sexy, and definitely makes a statement. But for me, it just didn’t blend naturally with who I am.

Seeing how I didn’t click with it, the sales assistant then suggested Good Girl Blush. I hesitated—I hadn’t really liked Very Good Girl either—but I wanted to give it a fair chance.

At first sniff, Blush felt lighter. There was a creamy, floral sweetness that actually smelled quite pretty—not too much, just enough. But after a short while, a sour note started to peek through, and it really threw me off.

Good Girl Blush

Top: Bergamot, Bitter Almond

Middle: Peony, Ylang-Ylang

Base: Vanilla, Coumarin

I usually enjoy Peony and Ylang-Ylang, but the Ylang in this one didn’t come off as fresh or exotic like I’m used to—it leaned sour on my skin. And sadly, that sourness lingered all the way to the end.

I get why Good Girl Blush is loved. It’s feminine, modern, and soft enough for daytime wear, but still feels refined. Still, once again, I didn’t feel that connection.

I truly wanted to fall for at least one scent from the Good Girl line—but perhaps, some stories are simply not meant to be written
