Nuts are one of my favourite superfoods, packed with healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals that do wonders for both physical and mental health. I became obsessed with almond butter when I lived in England for a few years. I’d stock up on jars from local brands made purely from roasted almonds—they tasted fantastic! Almond butter quickly became a daily staple, something I couldn’t live without.

When I returned to Indonesia, I started searching for an almond butter that tasted just as good—100% almonds, nothing added. I tried several brands from local marketplaces, but none matched the original flavor. If you’ve tasted “real” almond butter, you know when something’s off. Many brands add a bit of oil, mix in other nuts, or add salt and sugar, which isn’t my preference. I like my almond butter as pure as possible.
Thinking about my health and wanting to stay strong as I age, I decided to make my own almond butter at home in 2021. But it turned out to be more challenging than I expected—achieving a smooth, creamy texture without added oil took patience and the right technique.
“This is it!” I said, excitedly scooping some onto my finger and letting my husband try it. He agreed, “Oh yeah, this is it! It tastes just like the one we used to buy in England.” Happy with my successful batch, I started getting requests from friends to sell it. I’d never thought about selling my homemade almond butter before—it takes a lot of effort, and I wanted to keep it truly made with love, not for profit. But after doing some math, I came up with a fair price that made sense for both sides.

The thing is, not all almonds are the same. I specifically choose premium, large almonds for their naturally rich flavor. Old or small almonds don’t release the best natural oils and can taste dry. The price for quality almonds has also risen lately, and it’s been harder to source the best. So when you buy from us, you’re getting true quality—no fillers, just pure almond goodness.
At Nutswold, my mission is to offer real, quality nut butter. The best nutrition comes from real food with no additives, and 100% nut butters are incredibly healthy. For now, we’re focusing on almond butter, but we plan to expand with other nut-based products like nut milk and different nut butters.
