I Made Mbti Perfume

Have you ever wondered what your personality would smell like? Just last week, I found myself exploring a fascinating experience at My Color ID. As someone who's always been intrigued by MBTI personality types, the chance to turn my traits into a personalized scent was something I couldn’t resist. I walked into the studio, filled with curiosity and excitement, wondering how my INFJ personality could possibly be captured in a bottle. What I didn’t expect was for this to become more than just a fun experiment—it turned into a journey of self-discovery, blending the art of perfumery with the essence of who I am."

Mbti perfume

For me, MBTI is just a bit of fun, but there’s a certain truth to it that helps me understand myself better. Your results can change depending on your environment, where you live, and other factors. So, if your MBTI shifts one day, that’s completely normal.

I usually get INFJ, and I think it sticks because I’m a persistent Taurean. However, there was a time I got INTP when I was a café co-owner, which shows how we can adapt to different situations. Still, deep down, I believe we all know which personality truly reflects who we are.

The Experience

When I first arrived, I had plenty of questions about where they source their fragrance oils and alcohol. I’m quite sensitive to scents, and some can trigger my migraines, so I’m always cautious. Rika, the owner, assured me that all their ingredients are imported and that the alcohol they use is safe for sensitive skin and noses.

Before the meeting, Rika had already asked about my MBTI type and scent preferences to prepare everything for the workshop. We had a delightful conversation about MBTI personalities, fragrances, and some other intriguing topics. It was enjoyable and refreshing to meet fellow scent enthusiasts.

Before we began creating the perfume, Rika asked me to smell all the MBTI-based scents and choose four that appealed to me. My choices were INFJ, INTP, INTJ, and ISFJ. We then narrowed it down to two, and my final pick remained my MBTI—INFJ. This scent felt like a reflection of my inner self, the personality that I don’t often reveal to the world.

Next, Rika asked me to pick three notes to mix with the MBTI-based perfume, creating a scent that’s uniquely mine—though I couldn’t get too creative, of course! The entire process was quick and clear, and I was able to adjust the mixing to achieve the exact result I wanted.

I'm sharing a few bottles of decant @shopee or you can order it directly from my admin (812 9527 9872)

The Result
I’m honestly thrilled with the scent I created. It’s exactly the kind of fragrance I love—something that represents my inner introvert. As an INFJ, I gravitate toward something subtle, something that feels comforting and personal. I wear this scent to bed, when I need to reflect on something important, or when I just want to be alone and completely myself.

Review
For the price they offer, I think this was a unique and personal experience, especially as a perfume lover. It’s fun to create your own perfume based on your MBTI personality, and they even allow you to choose other MBTI-based scents if you wish. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves MBTI and wants to craft a personal scent based on it. I’m not sure if other places offer this service, but I believe they’re the first in Indonesia to focus on MBTI-specific perfumes.

If you're travelling to Jakarta, make sure to book this special experience!

Special Offer
Currently, I'm not affiliated with My Color ID or receive special commission, but if you mention my name 'Cominica' they'll give you a special discount because you're my readers. Enjoy! I hope you'll have fun in making your own Mbti perfume.
