Last Saturday was a long weekend for most people in my country and a lot of people travel during that short period. I saw many people went to Singapore because it's the nearest country beside Malaysia. I rarely checked the calendar so I didn't know about the public holiday.
My sister told me about the Thousand Islands, it's near Jakarta and honestly I never been there before. I love beach a lot, seeing the clear blue water and crystal skies can make me feel relaxed. And my brother planned the getaway with some friends, it was really cheap so i joined without any doubt. ( ¯▿¯)و
Thousand Island or Pulau Seribu is an archipelago consisting of almost 128 small islands located in the Bay of Jakarta in the Java Sea. Most of these are untouched and can be reach in about 1 - 2 hours from Marina Ancol by ferry or by chartered board. There're so many Islands here to explore like Bidadari island, Ayer island, Pelangi island, etc. This time I went to Tidung island and Pari island.
I reached Tidung Island first and amazed by the beauty of this island.. this place is so beautiful. I didn't expect there's this kind of gem near Jakarta. Well, Jakarta is full of pollution and litter, even the sky is grey. What can I expect? lol
When I saw the clear water I can't stop smiling. That day was a very sunny day and so hot but I didn't care at all. The sun kissed my hair and skin, the water was serene and the wind blew my soul.
I had two fresh coconut waters and a meatball at some random stalls. When you go to beach, drink coconut water is a must to avoid dehydration. Coconut water is good for our skin haha can make it looks smooth and healthy.
I've played in the water for a while and had some walks exploring the island before we left this beautiful place and moved to Pari island. The water is 100% clear and there're so many reefs scattered everywhere. This island also great for photoshoot!
This picture was taken at Small Tidung island, located just beside the main Tidung island. I walked for about 20 minutes to reach this place, it was worth it though. ( ॣ•͈૦•͈ ॣ)꒳ᵒ꒳
The dinner we had was quite okay, I ate a grill fish and drank coconut water again lol. I stayed at a 'home stay' house, the place has air conditioner, quite spacious and clean.
In the morning I tried to walk to Pasir Perawan beach, the local people said we can see a sunrise there. But too bad the clouds blocked the sun.
Still a beautiful morning view though~! Agree? \(//∇//)\
I prepared my self for the snorkeling after breakfast, this time I was so excited because I can't wait to throw my self into the water. The journey to the sea was quite crazy because of the dancing waves hahaha. Anyway, I enjoyed this experience so much!
Me looked so un-glam but the underwater creatures are so beautiful, I observed the area for about 30 minutes and I almost lost my breath because I didn't wear the pipe. Now I regret why I didn't buy an Iphone case for underwater shot ... ╥﹏╥ damn
I didn't afraid of the sunlight because I was wearing my sunblock continuously. When you're at the beach, don't use the umbrella! You'll lost many beautiful moments. Lift your face and face the sun, it's warm and fun.
It was a nice getaway from the busy Jakarta, the journey isn't so long if you take a speed boat. I really want to explore another islands like Tiger island and Pantara island. Cause Thousand Islands indeed hold a million charms that can't be told.
