My Favorite Wedding Theme Ideas

Hello ladies, I found some lovely wedding themes while I was strolling around Bridestory's website last night and I want to share it with all of you. They're all so pretty and inspiring, I'm sure you'll love it too hehe :)

Most of the Brides want their wedding different from all of the rest, especially if their close friends are getting married around the same time. I think the key to successfully personalizing your wedding is to bring something that will remind people of you, whether it's a color that you like, a special song or even just a feeling.

If I can pick out a specific wedding theme, I'd pick a wedding theme which is more personal, more coordinated and most of my friends who come to my wedding party will feel that it's so 'me'. lol

If you're planning your wedding day, I think you should decide which type of wedding theme suit your & your couple personalities and lifestyle. Once you’ve picked your theme, it’s a lot easier to coordinate the invitation, styling, favors, flowers, dresses, menu, music and all.

Below are some wedding themes and ideas that I have gathered from Bridestory which you can use for your own wedding. I have listed them in no particular order.

1. Royal

I think this theme is most favorite of many couples in here, since the Royal theme is like so remarkable, absolutely beautiful, elegant and classy. A Chandelier is a must, flowers and pick royal theme color for the base such as white, creme and gold.

You don't have to worry about the decoration because Bridestory have so many wedding vendors you can choose and some of them are specially in decorating a theme like this. You can see their Decoration and Lighting category and browsing through all portfolio.

If you want your wedding to be like those in Fairy Tale movies like the King and the Queen, maybe you can consider this theme because it absolutely unforgettable and I'm sure your families and friends will amaze with your wedding day. lol

2. Pastels

Some of people want to keep their wedding simple, delicate and calm. For a quite personality maybe they want to keep thing simple and modest.

For a Pastels theme, the details chosen should have dominated with pastel colours, lace, flowers and probably some shabby items. At the same time, a soft, minimalistic, and feminine feel is emphasized to differentiate it from regular all white theme.

The best is to keep it simple, neat and versatile. Pastels are soft colour and have a romantic feeling in it. Not only pastel pink, pastel blue/green also looks so beautiful and calm.

A trend right now is to mix and match, Pastels can be mix Shabby Chic look, sometimes they add glitters and pearl too so it looks more a little bit elegant. You can consult your wedding planner/EO for the decoration and theme, personalize it with your preference.

3. Victorian Vintage

Do you love the idea of vintage weddings? Is the Victorian era your personal favorite? Maybe you can consider this theme for your wedding day because it looks so nostalgic and vintage.

Victorian weddings are a wonderful choice for a garden wedding. When planning Victorian weddings, you’ll want to find a suitable garden setting such as a large backyard, park or pavilion area. If you can’t have it outside, choose a big mansion or building and let the wedding vendor do all of the decoration for you!

Keep in mind that Victorian style tends toward the frilly and feminine. Patterns, which often include floral designs, are used heavily. Fabrics are often velvets, damasks and needlepoints, and the most popular colors include eggplant, bottle-green and red.

Actually there're many more wedding theme decoration ideas on Bridestory, I only picked three because they're my favorites (in no particular order). I love looking at all the beautiful ideas on the website for some interior inspiration for an event. Not only wedding, the decorations can be use for other event if suitable.

I hope this post inspired you because I put effort in choosing some beautiful pictures and themes to be presented here LOL XD. Anyway, what is your favorite wedding theme ladies?

I'm into that shabby chic wedding theme! Are these Indonesian wedding venues? I've been told that Indo weddings are over dramatic and I didn't think it was until I saw these images! O.O It's not a bad thing cause I think it looks really astounding.
