Belakangan ini aku lagi naksir brand Niche yang namanya BDK Parfums. Entah kenapa lagi lumayan kepincut karena botolnya yang cakep dan modern, wanginya juga unik-unik banget.
Berikut beberapa hal tentang mereka:
1. Independent Perfume House yang berlokasi di Palais Royal, Paris.
2. Wewangian kreatif dengan raw materials yang berkualitas menghasilkan parfum yang terinspirasi oleh karakter, movement dan juga siluet.
Kreasi-kreasi BDK Parfums yang indah berada di dalam satu universe yang tercipta dari kata-kata, kisah-kisah, dunia antara fantasy dan realita.
Ide awalnya ada ingin fokus pada satu raw material yang kemudian dikembangkan dengan berbagai macam inspirasi agar dapat hidup dan membentuk sebuah ciptaan parfum yang indah. Konsep inilah yang akhirnya digunakan untuk semua BDK Parfums sampai saat ini.
Yang aku sukai adalah cara mereka fokus kepada satu raw material yang diekstrak secara khusus di Grasse sehingga membuat parfum ini jadi exclusif atau dapat kita sebut Niche. Proses pembuatan sebuah produk tidak pernah terburu-buru karena mereka mementingkan keseimbangan saat terjadinya proses kimia pembentukan sebuah parfum.
Ini cukup bikin aku penasaran karena rata-rata aku rasa parfum Niche konsepnya seperti ini. Apalagi mereka bisa claim bahwa bahan yang digunakan hanya raw material dari Grasse sehingga aku expect something good from them.
Selain dari konsep dan wanginya yang bahannya premium, botolnya juga cantik loh.
BDK sangat mementingkan ke'prancisan' produk mereka sehingga semuanya benar-benar Made in France di perusahaan-perusahan yang berada di Prancis. Itu salah satu hal yang jarang ada sih sekarang, terutama di produksi parfum mainstream yang rata-rata di produksi secara masal. Rasa cintaku terhadap parfum membuat aku sangat menghargai parfum 'Niche' yang dimana dibuat secara independen.
Aku mendesain dan membuat sendiri Brand Comicou sehingga aku mengerti betapa sulitnya mereka merangkai konsep ini untuk berjualan parfum.
Tutup botol dari parfum ini dibuat khusus oleh ahli emas yang menempa tutupnya agar seperti atap dome Grand Palais di Paris. Pantas saja rasanya design botolnya Paris sekali dengan aksen modern. Sedangkan design botolnya ditempa dan dibuat oleh perancang dari Normandy secara khusus. Lalu, labelnya ditempel dengan tangan oleh printing House di Marais. Bahkan box botol dan tintanya pun semuanya dibuat di Prancis.. 😂
Sebagai seorang penikmat parfum bagus tentu saja BDK Parfums menjadi incaranku untuk dikoleksi. Apalagi setelah mencoba tester beberapa parfumnya aku lumayan suka karena wanginya sangat nyata (mungkin karena raw materials) dan french vibes sekali.
Just like every night, Madam is getting ready in her office. She won’t have time to go back home. She freshens up, touches her make-up: red velour lipstick sometimes Bordeaux depending on her mood. She brushes her hair and takes out her necklace from her purse. Her white shirt slightly open highlights her inviting curves. She adds a bit more black to her eyes. She slams the front door as her heels strides on the sidewalk. Just like every Thursdays, she’s going to the cabaret Place de la Concorde. Madam has high hopes like every night. She likes people; she loves life. She finds a stool at the bar and orders a whiskey with ice before lighting her cigarette. In the darkness, she makes out a silhouette in front of her. She turns to the side. It’s him. It’s always him. Their path often cross but they never speak. She smiles, gets up and goes dancing. Alone. Men line up for her attention, she politely replies. Madam is chic, she responds. Close to 2am while a dandy looking men catches her eyes and invites her to dance. She abides but only for a short period, she leans in says she has to go home. She likes him but the morning is soon approaching. She leaves after whispering these words in his ears... « Not tonight ».
In this garden of the sumptuous Palais Royal, out of sight, the pages of a book are slowly turning. Intrigued, a silhouette advances to start the conversation. It is there, at the end of the afternoon, sitting on a bench in front of a sumptuous bed of roses with a scent mixed with sand, where they meet. Carefree of the time that passes, reality ends up catching them. The guard’s keys come to close the garden doors...
She’s getting ready. It’s a beautiful day. The sky is blue. She puts her naked foot on the floor and like a dancer, travels the distance of the mirrored hallway to the dressing table. It’s one of her favourite spots. She likes getting pretty there. There are only flowers from the garden, and both her hands, fresh and clean, which seem to spin around them. Her right hand, agile and light, grabs her powder, then a bottle of perfume. Her left hand clutches eye shadow and nude lipstick. She then moves on to the closet, where she picks a light dress and fixes a rebel strap. She slides on pair of heels and fastens a belt around her waist. Just like every morning, she walks towards her balcony full of flowers. It’s on the 4th floor and overlooks the gardens of Palais Royal. She is happy and thinks of her day ahead, smiling.
