Beauteen EX Mega Bleach Before/After

Recently, I've been sticking with my dark purple hair tone because I haven't had time to touch up my roots. Dark hair seems easier to manage and looks healthier to me. However, I've started to feel a bit bored with it. So, I've decided to bleach my hair again. This time, I'm using Beauteen.

Beauteen is a hair dye brand that's become quite popular, especially among fans of gyaru fashion, thanks to its association with Funayama Kumiko, also known as Kumicky. She's a well-known Japanese model, particularly famous for her appearances in Popteen magazine. Known for her vibrant and trendy style, Kumicky's endorsement of Beauteen adds to its allure among those who admire her fashion sense.

Beauteen Mega Bleach is designed to lighten your hair and eliminate dark tones effectively. While many choose to follow up with another dye for a more uniform result, using the bleach alone is also an option if you're happy with the outcome. What sets this product apart is its formulation, which includes several beneficial ingredients aimed at protecting your hair from damage caused by the dyeing process.

It's worth noting that the result depicted on the hair bleach box isn't always a perfect representation of the outcome. In my experience, it's common for the actual result to differ slightly from what's shown on the packaging. With that said, here's a look at my hair before starting the bleaching process. As you can see, it's a dark brown shade with a subtle hint of purple undertone.

I decided to proceed with the bleaching process using only one box of bleach since I had already used the other box a few months ago. Unfortunately, this was my last box of hair bleach, so I had to make do with what I had. However, the result turned out a bit strange because I still had remnants of the purple-blue tone in my hair. As a result, it didn't blend seamlessly with the blonde, creating a somewhat unusual look, I think.

The bleach mixed with the remnants of purple and blue in my hair, resulting in a lighter shade. Surprisingly, I'm quite pleased with the bleaching outcome as it significantly lightened my hair without leaving it feeling dry. I've noticed that Beauteen's formula is milder compared to Palty, which I tried a few months ago (though I didn't review it). Unfortunately, the Palty dye left my hair super dry, prompting me to take a break from dyeing my hair to allow it time to repair. Now, feeling nostalgic for my blonde hair, I decided to give bleaching another try.

I didn't wear contact lens, so my eyes probably look a bit different

I'm planning to retouch my hair tomorrow, and luckily, my sister still has two boxes of Palty. I'm not a fan of my current hair color; it looks messy in pictures, but surprisingly, it doesn't look too bad in person, haha! Hopefully, my hair is still in good condition for another bleaching session.

Beauteen is definitely worth a try; it's more affordable than Palty, and the formula is gentler. However, if you want to completely bleach your entire hair, you might need to use 2-3 boxes.
